Electricity
What if I am on a budget plan or low-income rate?
Choosing a third part supply will not affect your budget plan or low-income rate.
Am I billed twice?
No for electricity we offer consolidated billing unless otherwise requested. You will still be
billed through your local utility company for delivery and supply. The delivery portion of the
bill is the cost associated with distributing electricity to your home or business. The supply
portion is the cost of the electricity and is multiplied by the number of kWh’s you used. If you
don’t choice a third-party supplier, then your local utility charges you their supply rate.
What happens if I lose power?
If you lose power, you still call your utility. Nothing changes! The utility will remain
responsible for the lines, poles, and meters in your area.
If my city or town offers electricity, can I still purchase through Quest Energy Solutions?
Yes, you can still purchase energy through Quest Energy Solutions. We recommend opting
out of your town aggregate to avoid auto enrollment into the aggregate.
Community Solar
How much does it cost me?
There are no fees, set-up charges or out-of-pocket costs to you.
What happens if I move?
You can transfer your subscription if you move within the same utility. If you move outside
your current utility, Quest Energy Solutions will work to find a new Community Solar project
Can I sign up for Community Solar if I have a third-party supplier?
You can use more than one of our programs to help lower your electricity bill. We would be
happy to help you with understanding those additional free offers.
How do I get a discount?
Bill credits will appear on your utility bill reducing the amount you owe to the utility. You will
then receive a bill for the solar credits you received but at your designated discount.
Natural Gas
Am I billed twice?
It depends on your service area, if you are able to remain with consolidated billing. For example,
Massachusetts is dual billed. You will still be billed through your local utility company for
delivery only. The delivery portion of the bill is the cost associated with distributing natural
gas to your business. The supply portion is billed directly from the supplier and is just the
cost of the natural gas multiplied by the number of therm’s you used. If you don’t choice a
third-party supplier, then your local utility charges you their supply rate.
